Many Charitable Trusts struggle to fulfil their original aims and objectives either due to a lack of resources or the recent introduction of tighter regulations, following the establishment of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.

The Community Foundation offers the opportunity to consolidate small, uneconomical trusts without loss of identity or purpose and support or take legal responsibility for the management of existing trusts, including invigorating dormant trusts.

Through our wealth of knowledge and experience in community development and the voluntary sector in Northern Ireland, we are uniquely placed to offer charitable trusts a comprehensive and tailor-made grant making service by matching the criteria of the trust to suitable projects.
