Foundation to host Open Grants Surgery

The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland (CFNI) is hosting its first ever Open Grants Surgery on Tuesday 18th June 2013 between 10am and 2pm at the Community Foundation offices in Belfast.

This is an opportunity for existing, as well as potential grantees, to learn about our application process, what we expect from grantees and how we can help you make a difference in your community.

New and returning grant applicants are welcome to come and speak to our grants officers about their ideas for grant applications, find out what grant funding is available and how to apply.

Grants are open to constituted or not-for-profit community/voluntary groups seeking grants from £500 to £10,000.

Existing grantees are invited along if they are experiencing problems managing their current Community Foundation grant come along for advice and support with any part of the grants process.

Sharon Barry, Community Projects Officer at the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, said: “This grants surgery is an excellent opportunity for groups to come along, have chat with our experienced grants team and get advice and support with their grant applications.

“Whether groups have already received a grant from CFNI or, are applying for the first time, we hope these sessions will help them put in the best application.

“We want to make the entire grants process run as smoothly as possible, meaning more time and effort can be put into making sure grants have the maximum impact on the ground”.
