Telecommunity Programme
The Telecommunity Programme is an ‘own name’ fund set up with capital from BT, management and unions and matched by Community Foundation funds.
Purpose
The programme targets work with young people (teenagers) and people with disabilities in community based organisations in areas of disadvantage.
How to Apply?
There is no formal application form for Telecommunity, hence groups are asked to write to Telecommunity and include the following information:
- A description of your group - its aims & activities
- A description of the proposed project, its origins, purpose and cost
- An outline of how the group plans to evaluate its work
- A copy of your group's constitution and latest annual report, if available
- A recent statement of accounts
- A list of your committee members
- A contact address and daytime telephone number
Groups will be expected to provide a report on the progress of the project.
Please allow plenty of time for your application to be processed. The Committee meets in January, May and September each year. Applications should be received at least a month before the Committee meeting.
